Materiales: Nike Jordan 1 Lost and Found, Sneakers found on pallet, and thread.

For Hi-Low I was interested in merging the two sneakers to give some new value to the frankestanian combination of the two. where one of the pairs comes from a very hi value on the sneaker market (Jordans 1 Nike) and the other from very affordable value that has even been deminished to a bulk value. I was interested in accentuating the ways in which objects change value depending on the market that they are exposed to, similar to the merchandise that is purchased on the pallets, which also mimics the way in which objects loose and gain value as they transit different borders and different economies.

I see Hi-Low: SNEAKERS as a sculptural sneaker that is neither here nor there, neither Hi value (this was voided when cut the shoe in half) nor Low Value, neither Jordan nor white sneaker from the pallet, but rather a combination of the two, a new object, a sculpture that acquires its own value is this case in a market of Art, and in a market of cultural social exchange.
